چکیده

Wear particles generated due to the relative sliding of roll and sheet metal in bite are one main factors that contaminate surface a cold rolled steel sheet. The details wear mechanisms contact individual roll-sheet asperities define total amount generated. In this paper, micro-mechanical experimental approach is coupled with material point method (MPM) scratch simulations study friction behavior single asperity through metal. Micro-tribology experiments form testing showed ploughing dominant mechanism lubricated conditions, while wedge forming was absence lubricant. beneficial influence chrome plating rolls on formation found stem from its interaction lubricant as same not observed non-lubricated test conditions. MPM revealed almost all frictional resistance arises deforming substrate case an interfacial shear strength corresponding contact. contrast, that, unlubricated sliding, primarily shearing adhesion junction tearing body. Furthermore, using degree benchmark, critical plastic strain needed produce be between 3 4 for investigated interstitial-free steel.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Molecular dynamics simulation of single asperity contact

We present a series of molecular dynamics simulations of single asperity contact and deformation that occurs as two rough surfaces are brought together, loaded and then separated. We monitor the force between the two surfaces, the total potential energy, the Q6 order parameter, the effective minimum contact radius and the conductance (using the modified Sharvin equation). The deformation is obs...

FULL CRITICAL REVIEW In situ single asperity wear at the nanometre scale

The interface of two contacting materials experiences complex physical and possibly chemical reactions when one slides with respect to another. While tribology, a subject studying sliding contact, has been comprehensively elucidated for a variety of materials ranging from metals, carbides, inorganic materials and polymers, direct imaging data of the processes taken place at the nanometre or ato...

Influence of varying timing angle on performance of an SI engine: An experimental and numerical study

Engine performance depends on two main factors of engine speed and ignition time. Ignition timing can affect engine life, fuel economy and engine power. In this paper, to study engine performance of Peugeot 206 TU3A with comparison ratio of 10.5:1 and displacement of 1361CC in MATLAB software, a two-zone burned/unburned model with the fuel burning rate described by aWiebe function was used for ...
